Stereotypical... I try not to be

I really like this Elements of Business law class I am in. I really do, the professor is a really interesting guy, and I guess I think the information is generally interesting. That, and I really know nothing of law, so it is all fairly new information. Or, at least extremely expanded information on a topic I knew close to nothing about. There is a guy though, a guy in my class. He was fairly quiet at first. But, I think now that he has gotten comfortable with the people and environment he blurts out all the time. He has a very, ummm how do I explain this, "elementary" sense of humor. He down plays almost every comment or topic he can, and for the first hour, I could just shurg it off. But the class is nearly 3 hours long, and it just kept going and going. I felt myself getting more and more anxious about this guy. BUT, I kept my mouth shut, although I felt the general consensus of the room probably had a very similar disposition to mine, inclusing the prof. When the class was over, I was walking into the parking garage. The "chatty" gentlemen was behind me, and so I held the door open for him as he approached me. I held the door for maybe 3 seconds. He approached the door, and immideatly pressed the handicapped door opener button. Did not make eye contact with me, and walked right on past. I was almost offended, not outwardly, but inwardly I scrunched my eyes, and felt as though he had personally and rudely attacked me. I walked to my car as if someone has just wronged me. Minutes later, I realized that I had now become "in the wrong." A follower of Christ does not open a door for someone in order to get a thankyou or a pat on the back. A follower of Christ opens a door for someone, even an annoying someone to let them know you care about them, and want to spread this LOVE thing around. In Christ, there need not be recopricity. It's nice when it comes, but I have to watch it. That guy will be on my list now. To be ever careful how I look at him, think about him, and to pray for him. And that's that.

After class I wanted to go get my "TAN" on. So I did just that. And now I feel like I have been sizzling like a weenie on a hibachi. For real! This picture may not show it very clearly, but I am red like a lobster. And of course, because of the protective eye things, I have some real cute WHITE spots around my eyes. All is well though. Not a complaint, just a state of being. Next time I will remember not to tan so long, OR, tan more often. Either alternatitives would have averted this uncomfortable state I am currently in.

The safest place to be is within the will of God.

God will transform you from within IF you seek Him in all things. It doesn't matter where you come from, what you have done, NONE OF THAT MATTERS. You "just" have to trust that he will provide. It is so tricky, but so simple. I love God so much. I love God more than my parents, my sister, my best friend, myself. I LOVE YOU GOD!

Sometimes prayer is such an abstract concept to me. It's nothing that frustrates me, or anything like that. Sometimes it just seems ABSTRACT: thought of apart from concrete realities, specific objects, or actual instances: an abstract idea. I just came across this quote, I don't know where it is from exactly, but it is so good and when I read it, it just encourages me TONS! You ready for it??? God's answers are wiser than our prayers. So with that being said, it seems so much easier to pray to a God who knows what is best for me above all things. I really, really love praying with other people. It is so comforting to hear the deep thoughts given up to a mighty and amazing God.

Today I spent a lot of time outside. I worked at Pathways doing a lot of
policing of the church property. This means I put on a beaterThere is something I really like about working outside in a beater. I don't know if it is my hillbilly roots, or what. But the tan lines are minimal, and I love walking around in the beautiful sun in my Aviators. I have this amazing pair of Aviators. They are the old school kind. Like what people stereotype pilots wearing all the time. THEY ARE SO SWEET!

I went to campus today to talk with a department head about switching from a major in Psychology to one in Intrapersonal Communications. This is a picture of me waiting in the communications office. I don't know if anyone can tell, but I got some sun today. I plan on getting a nice base tan this year. I know last summer I was BURNT LIKE A LOBSTER!!! In fact, if you type in LOBSTER and search it in my BLOG, you can see just how much I burnt myself. OR, you can just CLICK THIS LINK Click the link and see how much I did not learn this lesson. I put no sun screen on today. I am lucky I didn't get burnt. There is this old school Hip Hop song that just turned into PUNK music. It is so funny, but for some reason I can't stop listening to it, I really love the beat they have. I have to share it. CHECK IT

Owwwwwwwwwwwww

Today, me and Nick, a buddy from work, mulched my lady friend's house. I am an idiot. I did not wear sunscreen. I did not wear a shirt. Chelsy thinks I have sun poisoning. I resemble a lobster on a bad day. A very sunny bad day.
The house looks great. Kenny and Sarah were happy with the work. Me and Nick had fun and I got to hang out with Chelsy all day. Chelsy is one of those girls that you can do nothing with for long periods of time and enjoy every minute of it.
MY BACK FREAKING HURTS!!!! NOT A LITTLE HURT A LOT HURT!! Please pray that this pain subsides quickly. Chelsy is actually typing for me right now, I'm on the couch, in a lot of pain telling her what to type. Chelsy has an aloe plant, I need aloe plants. I don't know how I'm going to survive tomorrow, I will probably go insane.
The moral of this story is.... wear sunscreen if you're not gonna have a shirt on all day.
Good Night
