I liked this so I wanted to share

We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize
it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't.

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

This makes so much sense to me. I really can related to this depiction of how God allows us to go through things not to make us suffer, but to prepare us for what we cannot see. For me it serves as a great reminder to keep my thoughts and heart in check during the difficult times.

maybe if god quit throwing so many "dips" in the road at us we wouldn't have to worry about the cross we bare.. we don't always deserve to have so many obstacles to have peace and happiness.. a good and gracious god would see that.. really? should it be that difficult to be happy? cmon.....

Well, considering every one of us deserves damnation, not only would I say it is fair, I would say we are blessed to be able to even struggle. You don't get it though. You don't see the bigger picture. Why are you so closed off, what has made your heart so incredibly hard? Think about it, if life was just a breeze and everything happened perfectly, what would we have to depend on God for?

maybe you don't get it... really are we all destined to struggle our whole life for god.. we all have family and job struggles, or personal life and realationship issues to struggle with.. do we all deserve to have to struggle to meet gods expectations too..why are you so closed off? you listen to no one else and no elses opinion on anything.. what mikey believes is what is gospel...we can depend on god and believe in god, but we don't have to suffer to do so.. come on mikey, open up and see the real world a bit.. you live in a caccoon.......

I don't know why this bothers you so much. I try to live according to what Christ teaches. My life and actions display this. You don't agree with my belief system,or with the idea of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and so you are angry that I don't live a life that is meaningless and empty? You have no hope other than wordly things, things that will one day be no more. My hope is in the Lord, a never ending, all powerful, loving Lord of all. Why would I let go of that? Why would I want to live like you? You talk about struggling with meeting God's expectations, but you don't even understand the most basic elements of faith. For example, "why do the 10 commandments exist?" Answer: To protect us and allow us to live full and awesome lives. You don't understand anything past what is right in front of you. There is no maybe to it, I know you don't get it. But I wouldn't give up my life and belief system if someone put a gun to my head. I am adament on this, and my zest for the Lord is not going anywhere.

Keep pointing out where you think "I don't get it" though.
