Jordan guests

Today was a little different towards the end of the day. I fixed a broken pipe, and did some other things. . . . then we had some guests. Ya see, we had guests from Jordan (Middle East Jordan). Well, as you can see in the picture we were set up in a circle with guests, mostly which were Muslim. They wanted the Christians to believe that we hold a common belief and that we are not all that different. I kept thinking in my head, (I am right, you are wrong). That is how i'm built, it is so clear to me. I love every person in that room tonight. . . . But, Jesus Christ was our main difference. I believe that Jesus was/is the Son of God, and they do not. If anything, I was challenged on how I am suppose to view them and love them. It was a little bit frustrating, but in a good way I suppose. I need to process this information more though.

remember they are as fixed in their beliefs as you are in yours, and if they aren't judging you its not your place to judge them.. who says you are right and they are wrong.. maybe there is a God who leads everyone from differant cultures and parts of the world in differant ways.. we really don't know do we.. "judge not lest ye be judged"

I try to only argue when there is something worth arguing about. I love this guy though. He is a long time reader, and sometimes says things that really make me think. . . . in a good way.

hey mikey thanks for the love..haha...don't know about your patience, but i do appreciate your comments in defending me a bit. i must tell you after following you this long that my only point in commenting to you is to give you "food for thought" and i must tell you that for the most part you respond in a respectful and intelligant manner and seem to at least contemplate my comments a bit..everyone, me included, needs a critic, and i have taken that role.. but let me tell you in all honesty.. i would be proud to have you as a son, because you are a good person with good intentions, just searching for a way to share your spirit.. what a good quality in a person..thanks again for reading and i will continue to enjoy your experiences with you..

you are very welcome and i was very sincere in that post....just remember that twenty people may have the same destination in mind, but they all may take a differant path to get there, and no path is more right than the other as long as they all get there.. thanks and enjoy your week

If you are talking about paths to eternal life, or finding God. That is where a very specific distinction must be made. The only way to the Father is through his Son. It doesn't matter how nice of a person you are, or how much you love people. You must believe that Jesus Christ is the risen Savior, and live in a way that is according to his great plan. Doesn't mean a perfect life is going to unfold before you, but it does mean that all is accounted for. Ya see, when you take a stance that says, "there is no absolute Truth," what are you living for? There is no hope, there is no true fulfillment. It is all selfish ambition and gain without Christ being part of the story.

I will try to continue to show you. I will continue to mess up, but I don't have anything to worry about because I trust in a God that does not hold anything against me. Grace=unmerited favor and love. And that is why I am SurroundedByGrace! Thanks again for your words of kindness. Everyone needs a little encouragement every now and then. I just wish I knew how to encourage you. . . .

well thanks.. i occasionally need encouraged too. i tend to think on the negative side of things and what can go wrong, not what is right.. but hey this isn't about me.. i agree in part with your last post, BUT, and i share this view with other knowledgable christian people, that right, the only way to God is to beleive in Him and His Son.. but all believe that there are several ways to show and share your beliefs.. several ways to be involved and to incorporate God into your life.. I'm sorry but i beleive from my upbringing through parochial schooling that there are many differant beliefs about God and many ways to worship Him.. I subscribe to the theory that an open mind is like an open book.. the more its open the more you learn.. but perhaps we will have to agree to disagree on that issue.. thanks again for reading and really your posts are encouragement enough..
